"Some Kind of Distortion" is the title track from this Michigan-based band's third LP, which can be streamed and purchased here. August has been a quiet month here at WTSH, and we blame our typical late-summer lethargy + the state of constant daydreaming that this album has induced. Pair this record with your best set of headphones - the attention to sonic detail is impressive.

New Track: Pearl Charles || Idea To Her.

Most of Los Angeles solo artist Pearl Charles’ songs deftly fold together country, pop, rock, folk and psychedelic influences. She looks and sounds like she could be a classic Lady of the Canyon (this canyon here) or the long lost heiress of Cosmic American Music. Pleasantly awash in reverb, "Idea To Her", the closing track from her new self-titled debut EP, definitely exudes that dreamy vibe we embrace at WTSH and leans a little into Mazzy Star territory.
