WTSH Welcomes New Assistant Editor Dan Joy.

WTSH Welcomes
New Assistant Editor
Dan Joy

Dan Joy is a writer and editor specializing in consciousness and culture. He has been an editor at Jeremy P. Tarcher, Inc., and he contributed to the third edition of the Psychedelics Encyclopedia.  He is co-author with Ken Goffman (a.k.a. R.U. Sirius) of the book Counterculture Through the Ages: From Abraham to Acid House and has written for magazines including bOING bOING, High Times, Science Fiction Eye, The Brain/Mind Bulletin and Reflex. Dan was also a close friend to the late Timothy Leary and, among his many other accomplishments, conducted and published the most interesting and thoughtful interview with Brian Eno that I have ever read. Having spent much of his life in the San Francisco Bay Area, he now lives in Falls Church, Virginia, a suburb of Washington, D.C.

When The Sun Hits is thrilled to welcome Dan as our new Assistant Editor. Speaking as the Editor, I can tell you that Dan has already, even in the short time he's been with us, helped to revitalize the blog with a fresh perspective and interesting content. His love for music is immense and his drive to discover more matches our own. He respects and understands the aesthetic Danny and I built WTSH upon, which means very much to me personally and professionally. Dan has already become a great friend; I look forward to working with him in the future as When The Sun Hits continues to grow. Welcome, Dan!
